Alright, take two on writing this entry! I’m still trying to get used to writing long form journals again, instead of shooting off every thought I have in 280 characters or less. So let's see what I’ve been up to lately…
Lots of work related stress, a seemingly endless stream of applications to send out, lots of pointless back and forth. I just hate small talk and job hunting is like being perpetually stuck in small talk purgatory. And trying to juggle my current job on top of that while my mind is not on the task at hand at all has been hellish. At least I’ve had two weeks off for now, next week it's back to purgatory for me.
At least I can work part time at my current job, even though the pay isn't all that great. But my tolerance for putting up with people’s bullshit isn't great either!
I have still been trying to find time to write and work on my Poolverine fic on and off, hopefully I’ll actually get it finished at some point. Executive dysfunction has been kicking my ass on getting that one out the door on top of everything else.
Lastly, I got into Kingdom Come: Deliverance! (Just like seemingly everybody else, haha.)
The game had been sitting in my Steam library since at least early 2019, if not actually 2018 back when it came out. Seeing all the high praise the sequel was getting made me finally pick it up and now I regret not listening to my friends when they told me how fun the drinking mission with Hans Capon was and how great it is to play as a peasant who doesn't even know how to read.
I started this year off with rewatching the Lord of the Rings trilogy and I’ve just been in a mood for medieval and/or fantasy stuff, which is sort of rare for me!
I actually went all out and finally upgraded my computer pretty much just for KCD2. The last time I upgraded was back in 2015 and while it has lasted me a good ten years now, the loading times on newer games were starting to get atrocious. Seems like only my rare medieval/fantasy fancies can get me to invest in upgrading my PC, haha!
